Dear BPG Members,
It's unbelievable how fast time flies.  Our shows are over for 2021 and THANKSGIVING is next week.  Then, Christmas.  Make sure to stop along the way and give Thanks for the many blessings God gives us every day.  The blessing of showing cattle--doing what we love.  There is a verse in the Bible that I read often, 1 Corinthians 10:24  "Do not look out only for yourselves.  Look out for the good of others also".  In the cattle business that we are all in TOGETHER,  if we follow this verse, we can try and make good decisions that help everyone involved, and not be selfish with our endeavors.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Our General Membership Meeting will be held in Fort Worth on Sunday, January 16 at 2:00 pm, in the McFarland Room in Watt Arena.  Please put this date on your calendar so you can be involved in your association.  Elections will be held.

Thanks to Carlan Smith for putting on a new Open Show this year in Winnie, TX.  The show ran smoothly and had some awesome awards and food!!  Looking forward to next year and hopefully with a larger turnout.  As soon as I get a confirmed date, we will get it on the schedule.

Dear BPG Members,
Hope everyone is getting their much needed rain but I hope not TOOOO much.  We need to find a happy medium!

BEEFMASTER U will be here before we know it.  Be sure you have the dates marked on your calendar:  JUNE 25-26.  Emily Knoll is working hard to make this the biggest and best yet (it's gonna be hard to top last year!!)  I have attached entry forms and a flyer on the event with all the info on them.   Also attached is a Sponsor form--we need all of the sponsors that we can get because this is our Fund Raiser Show.  This show pays for a lot of our expenses for the upcoming year.  If you know of anyone that would like to sponsor an award, please get them a sponsor form.  Emily also needs volunteers to help with the show.  Give her a call and get lined up to help.

Entry Deadline is postmarked by June 14.  Hotel room reservations are due by June 4 to get the discounted rate.  Be sure and mark these dates on your calendar.

2020 YEAR END AWARDS  will be presented Friday, June 25, during our Ice Cream Social from 6-8.  The top 5 point earners for SHOW HEIFER OF THE YEAR, SHOW BULL OF THE YEAR, SHOW DAM OF THE YEAR, SHOW SIRE OF THE YEAR, PRODUCE OF DAM, GET OF SIRE, EXHIBITOR OF THE YEAR and BREEDER OF THE YEAR will be presented awards.  Plan your schedule around this fun filled time.  Ladies, if any of you would like to bring desserts to go with ice cream, cakes, brownies, cobblers, cookies, etc., that would be awesome and greatly appreciated by our hungry exhibitors!

January 2021 The International Open Beefmaster Show
 
Dear BPG Members,

Attached please find the entry form for THE INTERNATIONAL OPEN BEEFMASTER SHOW to be held in Waco, TX.  This is a replacement show for the Houston Livestock Show.  The breeds that will be showing at this event are:  Beefmaster, Brahman, Brangus and Braford.  We are expecting a great crowd of International visitors at this show.  Make sure your ranch is represented so our International guests can view your operation.

We also are looking for sponsors.  I have attached the Sponsorship flyer that explains each level of Sponsorship.  Please get all the sponsors you can find!

We will move in on March 23 and show on March 25.  On Wednesday evening, March 24, there will be an Opening Ceremony welcoming all of our International guests and exhibitors.  Food and drink will be provided.

Let's have a big "Beefmaster" presence at this event!

Also, put on your calendar Beefmaster U.  It will be held again in Bryan at the Brazos County Expo Center June 25-26.

Dear BPG Members,

It was quite exciting to see the snow we had a few days ago.  Definitely something different where I live!

Just a few reminders for you:

ENTRIES DUE JANUARY 22 for the DIXIE NATIONAL LIVESTOCK SHOW in JACKSON, MS.
Be sure and get those entries sent in.  We need to have a good showing of Beefmasters in Mississippi so maybe this can be a permanent show for us.



THE INTERNATIONAL OPEN BREEDING CATTLE SHOW will be held in Waco, March 23-30.  The Beefmasters will move in on Tuesday, March 23 and show Thursday, March 25 and release.  There will be a website made advertising this show, with rules, class schedules, entry fees, etc.   This show is being put together to replace the Houston Livestock Show.  We are planning on a large group of International Guests being in attendance so we can promote Beefmaster cattle and your own ranch.  Be watching FB for more information on this show.  

We need sponsors to help pay our expenses, so beat the bushes and see if you can rattle any sponsors out!!  I have attached a sheet explaining all the levels of Sponsorship and a form to sign them up.
